Inspire. Encourage. Support.
About Us
We have witnessed a shift in the world throughout the past 10 years, especially in the field of education. The current system is failing to provide the necessary skills that our children will need in their future, as adults in a world that is rapidly changing. Our personal journey as parents of home learners, together with years of teaching around the world (Asia, Europe, and North America), have led us to this point. We want to open the world of learning outside of the traditional school system to families who want more for their child/ren.
“We believe that learning at home allows a child to focus on the important skills needed for later in life, while the focus can be geared towards their interests, passions, and strengths.”

Our Team
“We believe that learning at home allows a child to focus on the important skills needed for later in life, while the focus can be geared towards their interests, passions, and strengths.”

Amit Joshi
Co-Founder, Consultant
Born and raised in India, Amit studied Physics and Mathematics and taught high-school level Maths. Amit sought new horizons in his 30s, when he moved to Indonesia to teach at an international school. Amit’s experience in multiple school systems and curricula (IB, Cambridge, Canadian) has given him the knowledge of how learning can be approached through various angles. Amit’s passion for mathematics stems from the infinite patterns within the natural and spiritual world. “Everything around us is a pattern. The moment you recognize a pattern, you gain the ability to change it, too.”

Lena Joshi
Co-Founder, Consultant
Lena was born in Switzerland and moved to Canada at the age of 13, where she stayed and completed her B.Ed. in Elementary Education in 2012. Her love for travelling brought her to teach in Europe and later to Indonesia, where she met Amit. Together, they spent a few more years abroad, teaching at various international schools. They then settled in Canada for a while to start a family and raise their two young boys. In between all of this, Lena completed her MA in Educational Management and Leadership. Her dissertation was about educational management and leadership in alternative settings, specifically. Lena is a polyglot (someone who loves and speaks multiple languages).
Our Inspiration
With two wild boys at our hands, we know how busy life gets. Wanting the best for our children can often lead to exhausting days and times when we simply run out of energy.
We’ve lived both lives- teachers at international, private, public, and boarding schools AND as leaders and parents in home learning communities. We know what we want for our two sons, and it is the love for them that drives us to do what we do.
Home school life is not easy. It is, as a matter of fact, the difficult path to walk. You could say it is ”Off the beaten path”. It takes a lot of strength and determination in order to clear the surroundings for your child’s learning path. And it takes a community. Let us be part of your community to help you find information and resources that you need in order to build the foundation on which your child(ren) will succeed.
