We guide families to build personalized, life-skill-driven education pathways that support lifelong growth, purpose, and real-world success for their child.

We believe that interest- and life-skills-based learning at home allows a child to focus on the important skills needed for later in life, while directing that focus toward their interests, passions, and strengths.

We believe learning should:
🌟 Be joyful and engaging.
🧭 Be guided by purpose.
🛠️ Include essential life skills.
🌱 Nurture each child’s unique strengths and potential.
💛 Instil values and support children’s emotional, mental, and physical well-being.

We meet you wherever you are along the home learning path and guide you for as long as you need.

Through our guidance, we hope to:

Inspire. Encourage. Support.

What is Home Learning?

Simply put, it is the decision to take your child’s learning into your own hands and have a say in their journey of discovering the world and becoming successful adults—however that may look.
This looks different for every family, and that is the point. When you decide to walk the path of home learning, you allow learning to be tailored to your child’s strengths and interests, while keeping it in sync with your family’s values, routines, and needs.
Home learning does not mean learning alone. You are not stepping away from a system only to do it all by yourself. Find a community, involve your family, or seek a mentor for your child. All of these are ways to enrich your child’s learning and social skills.
We have written a blog post about this—read more.

Home Learners in Action

Kai is a home learner, and from the time he was five years old, he was deeply fascinated by how plants grow…

Alongside his other activities, one part of his home learning plan was to create and care for his own vegetable and flower garden. A year earlier, he had collected seeds from plants and flowers in preparation for this garden.
When spring arrived, Kai carefully mapped out the garden bed and planned where each vegetable and flower would go. He learned about the right temperature and sunlight needed for different seeds before sowing them. With help from his mother, he prepared the garden bed and arranged the space for each plant. When the time was right, he planted the seeds and watered them regularly.
To help the plants grow well, Kai used organic fertilizer that he received from his grandmother’s horse farm. After a few months, his garden began to flourish with healthy plants and bright flowers. In the picture, Kai can be seen harvesting vegetables from his garden with pride.
Through this experience, Kai learned the importance of planning ahead, how to extract seeds from plants, the life cycle of plants, and the growth requirements of different plants. Most importantly, he learned hard work, planning, discipline, and patience.

Testimonials

What people have to say about us about educators, parents, friends, and community memebers.

Before speaking with Lena, homeschooling was already on my mind, but I wasn’t confident enough to take the first step. Our conversations gave me the clarity and reassurance I was looking for. She patiently explained different aspects of homeschooling, how it can evolve over the years, and what it can look like in real life. She also introduced me to homeschooling communities, useful resources, study materials, and practical ways to begin at home. What I appreciated most was her calm, gentle, and non-judgmental guidance. I’m still at the beginning of this journey, but I now feel much more confident and informed, and I’m grateful for her support.

I’ve witnessed Amit and Lena build a home learning community here in Canada. They were both engaged in hosting home learning families for events. We celebrated winter and summer solstices together and had pumpkin carving events. Anytime we met, the discussions were interesting and informative – always leading back to philosophies of learning and how to engage children in learning every day. I recommend anyone who needs guidance on their path of home learning to work with Lena and Amit, they are open-minded and well-informed people.
